Welcome to Olive Our Recipes ("Olive", "we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal data and privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our application collects, uses, and safeguards your information when you use our mobile application and related web services.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: When you sign up via Email, Google Sign-In, or Sign in with Apple, we collect your email address, display name, and unique user identifier.
• Recipe & Culinary Data: Recipes, ingredient lists, instructions, notes, meal plans, and shopping lists that you create, import, or upload.
• Images & Camera/Photo Data: Photos of recipes you capture with your camera or select from your photo library to extract text and details via AI.
• Voice Data: Temporary audio input captured during Cook Mode for hands-free navigation commands ("Next", "Repeat", "Back"). Voice data is processed locally or via system speech recognition and is never stored on our servers.
• Analytics & Diagnostics: Anonymous crash logs, performance metrics, and general interaction data via Firebase Crashlytics and Google Analytics for Firebase.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information strictly to:

• Provide core app functionality, recipe organization, AI extraction, and cross-device synchronization.
• Manage subscriptions and purchases via RevenueCat.
• Deliver contextual advertising via Google AdMob (subject to your consent choices).
• Diagnose crashes, bugs, and optimize app performance.

3. Third-Party Services

We integrate trusted third-party service providers that adhere to strict data security standards:

• Google Firebase: Authentication, Cloud Firestore database, Cloud Storage, Analytics, and Crashlytics.
• RevenueCat: In-App purchase and subscription entitlement management.
• Google AdMob: Personalized and non-personalized advertising display.

4. Data Ownership, Privacy Controls, and Deletion

You retain full ownership of your recipes and data. You have granular control over the visibility of your recipes at any time. When you set a previously public recipe to private, it is immediately removed from our public search index and will no longer be visible or accessible to new users; existing users who previously saved or bookmarked the recipe retain a private, read-only archived reference for their personal use. You can permanently delete individual recipes or delete your account entirely at any time directly within the application (Settings > Delete Account). Initiating account deletion permanently and irreversibly purges your profile, recipes, meal plans, shopping lists, and associated images from our servers.

5. Children's Privacy

Our app is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
